This is a list of games for the Sony PlayStation video game system, organized alphabetically by name. See Lists of video games for related lists. There are often different names for the same game in different regions. The Sony PlayStation was first released in Japan on December 3, 1994, September 9, 1995 in North America, September 29, 1995 in Europe and in Australia on November 15, 1995 and featured 10 launch titles: ''Air Combat'', ''Battle Arena Toshinden'', ''NBA Jam Tournament Edition'', ''Power Serve Tennis'', ''Rayman'', ''Ridge Racer'', ''Street Fighter: The Movie'', ''The Raiden Project'', ''Total Eclipse Turbo'', and ''Zero Divide''. The final licensed PlayStation game released in North America was ''FIFA Football 2005'' in 2004, the final licensed game released in Europe was ''Hugo: Black Diamond Fever'' in 2005, and the final PlayStation licensed release in Japan was ''Strider Hiryu'' in 2006. After development for games ended people started making homebrew games using the Sony PlayStation Net Yaroze.
